Included in the Committee are the Craft and Home Economics Co-ordinator and the Rambles Co-ordinator. It organises events across the Federation from large lunches and talks to small workshops, which develop and extend the individual skills of members.
Lunches may be a purely social gathering or may have a speaker. Workshops try to cover a range of interests. Workshops taking place in WI House could include Creative Writing, Photography, Willow Weaving, Book Binding, Rag Rug Making, Painting and many more. Outdoor events include Rambles, Paddle Boarding, Golf, Croquet. Then, there are larger events such as a Murder Mystery Evening and a Flower and Plants Day with a well-known personality.
We work together to offer our membership as diverse a programme as possible. We hope to have something for everyone at a time that will suit. So, there are several workshops and taster days at the weekend as well as some evening events.
We are always looking for new members to join us. If you think you this may be for you why not come along as an observer to one of our meetings and see where that leads you.
If you have suggestions for an event or would like to come to one of our meetings with a view to joining our Team, please contact us.
We run a full and varied programme of events for our members, check our What's On section for details of upcoming events in your area.
