NYEFWI have organised a c.4-mile walk to enjoy the summer fields surrounding Thirsk and Sowerby.
Starting at WI House, Front Street, Norby, YO7 1BG we will follow a circular walk taking us on footpaths, through Thirsk Market Square, alongside Cod Beck and Sowerby. Along the way you will walk through the fields much loved by James Herriot, past “Mrs Pumphrey’s” house, The World’s End and the ancient burial mound, Pudding Pie Hill.
The route is mainly on flat grass with kissing gates and tarmac footpaths. It can be muddy after rain so walking boots are recommended. A buffet lunch will be served in WI House on our return. Please state any dietary requirements.
