The afternoon went extremely well, everyone appeared to have enjoyed it immensely. We were fortunate that the Village Hall was lovely and cool when we got there and it wasn’t till we were heating up scones and filling teapots that the kitchen got hot and then the main hall got hot with the volume of people and the lights on. Going from the hall to get stuff out of the car was like coming out of an aircraft on arrival at a hot holiday destination, the heat really hit me and as I had a lot of journeys to make, I did get a little warm doing that so bad hair day set in!!

The band was really good and there were so many people who asked for their cards that they ran out of them! The band had been recommended by my son’s trombone teacher

Thorpe Willoughby ladies added a touch of glamour!
