MOSAIC WORKSHOP

On a very hot Friday in August, 11 members from across the Federation came to WI House for a day’s workshop with tutor Sue Kershaw to learn the art of making a mosaic.

After a short demonstration they chose their design; some making coasters, others plaques and some mirrors. The choice of colours was amazing and after these major decisions on shades etc, they got to work. The room was quiet except for the snapping sound as the small tiles were cut into shapes.

By lunch time you could see things taking shape, and everyone was reluctant to stop to eat and stretch their arms and legs. Back to our work after a brief pit stop.

At the end of the afternoon each member had completed their project and were thrilled with the end result. As you can see from the photos, they were all so different.

Thank to Sue for being a great tutor – here’s to the next workshop.
