Join us to make a Manipulated Fabric Heart with Kate Slaughter from Kate’s Kloths.
Kate has been showcased on Robson Green’s Weekend Escapes (Series 2, Episode 15). She spent a delightful afternoon with Robson and Matheson teaching her relaxing textile art. You will spend the day being taught how to manipulate fabrics to create surface texture, how to incorporate traditional techniques such as smocking, Suffolk Puffs and pleating along with innovative methods to create textures and tucks. These are then combined with French knots to create a textured heart.
No experience necessary, open to all abilities.
There will be an extra £12.50 charge for materials, for the kit at a reduced cost and available in a wide range of colours, payable direct to the Tutor on the day.
You will also need to bring with you: an embroidery hoop, approx. 6 to 8 inches, a selection of needles, embroidery scissors and pins.
Tea/coffee/biscuits will be available but please bring a packed lunch.
