Create your own dramatic or tranquil mini landscape with a tree at the heart of it.  Learn how to draw with your sewing machine.  Use fabrics to create volume and mass and make line and texture through machine stitch.

Fabrics will be included but you will need to bring your own sewing machine, a free motion/embroidery or darning foot, a basic sewing kit, sharp scissors, 8″ embroidery hoop, kebab/cocktail stick, fabric pen.

Also you will need to bring your own threads: colours recommended are greens, deep blue/purple, brown, yellow ochre, grey for the landscape. Variegated threads are fun for this. Shiny rayon threads such as Gutermann or Madeira will give a sleek finish but any and all threads will do.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided but please bring your own packed lunch.
