A countryside ramble directly from Dunnington village centre. This will be a five mile, flat walk along tarmac lanes or well made paths, including a stretch through the lovely Hagg Woods. We will leave the village along Route 66 with a view of the Yorkshire Wolds, alongside crop fields and back through the woods to the Reading Rooms for a sumptuous meal prepared by Dunnington WI. There are no hills, a couple of places to rest if necessary, two stiles, one a simple gate the other rather awkward with two steps up and two steps down.
This makes the walk problematic for large dogs as they would have to be lifted over this stile. Also dogs would not be permitted in the Reading Rooms, where toilets will be available before the walk starts.
Meet at 10am for a 10.30 start.
The photo shows a few folk waiting to encourage you on the walk!
